Feedback from Sharon Herriot attendee
ReplyDelete"Yet again another great day at the Manchester Art Gallery, what a great space to meet, create and explore our responses to the exhibitions.
I found the WW1 exhibition moving and at times overwhelming, despite it being such a small exhibition. The 19th century painting of the River Somme was particularly moving, I don’t think I had ever thought of the name ‘Somme’ without thinking of trenches and warfare, to see it as a beautiful landscape was tragic and sad to see, it made me consider the pointlessness of war almost more than the images from the trenches.
Thank you for supporting our group by offering this valuable space to meet."
